Creative Basics of Photography-Classroom Session

Workshop - Floral Transformation - ONLINE

When we think of floral design, we think of a traditional bouquet in a vase for your table. In this transformative floral workshop we will make use of non-traditional containers, manipulate traditional flowers and colors, or a combination of all three. This class will stretch our creative minds and talents!

This session will be held online. Details on how to join the live session streamed through Vimeo will be emailed the day before the program.

A full material list is provided below, and will be sent to participants again, prior to the program. This way, you can follow along from the safety of your home!

Price: $60, $55 member

Instructors: Lisa Weddel and Laura Tonner

Supply List:

  • One unique vase of your choice. Think outside the box - a cowboy boot, water pitcher, bucket, basket, birdhouse, etc.
  • A few pliable branches from a bush or tree (roughly 1-2 ft long) - remove all the leaves OR a block of floral foam (available at most craft stores)
  • 1 bundle of flowers from the grocer or a variety from your local florist - look for bundles that include roses, Gerbera daisies, daisy poms, alstroemeria and filler flowers
  • About 6-9 stems of greenery - eucalyptus, leatherleaf, salal leaf or other greenery
  • 1-3 Hydrangea
  • Plastic bags or trash bags, in case your container needs to be lined. You could also use other lining options such as an empty plastic tub or container that fits your chosen "vase".
  • 1 set of sharp clippers or scissors
  • A few wire twist ties

  • Wire cutters
  • Some type of tall, linear material - similar to curly or pussy willow - adding height and movement to your arrangment.
