Bumblebee Jamboree

Sing along and dance to original and traditional songs, express yourself, laugh and play. This family-friendly indoor concert is fun for all. Enjoy this interactive experience with children ages 0 12 and their parents. Children can dress as their favorite pollinator such as a bird, bee or butterfly.

 

June 18 - Steve Weeks

Colorado Springs-based musician, performs with both a sense of humor and a goal to not only entertain, but educate his young audience. His acoustic-based songs are layered with unusual percussion sounds including pans and tinker toys. The musical styles vary from reggae to bluegrass to folk-hop and the heart of each song is an outlandish story or touching tale.

Family Workshop: Leprechaun Gardens

Discover the legend of the leprechaun as you design and create a miniature garden to attract these  mischievous garden friends. Each child will create a container garden to take home.

Family Workshops at Denver Botanic Gardens are a great way for families to spend time together while discovering the beauty, diversity and importance of plants. Workshops offer families a hands-on opportunity to learn about the science and enchantment behind the plants in our everyday lives, create tasty treats from scratch and explore the natural world.

Classes are designed for families with children ages 5-10. Preregistration is required and class size is limited.

All adults attending the workshop must register for the program. Non-participating siblings do not participate in the activities.

Price: $12 non-member adult, $10 member adult; $17 non-member child, $15 member child

Family Workshop: Plants in Your Pizza

You can put almost anything on a pizza! Discover this favorite Italian dish and the plants that make it possible. Make a mini pizza to taste in class and plant a pizza herb garden to take home.
