Cancellation Policy: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one weeks notice are non-refundable; please consider your payment a donation to the Gardens.

Bring a little STEAM into your classroom curriculum using inquiry methods to teach a variety of subjects using the Gardens as a resource. Appropriate for elementary and middle school levels.

0.5 semester hours of graduate level relicensure credit from the Colorado School of Mines is available on the day of the class for an additional $40.

Steppe into History: Ecological Impacts on the Colorado Short Grass Prairie

Connect history with geography and investigate the impacts humans have made on Colorado’s eastern plains. We’ll be exploring how to use the natural landscape to approach historical and ecological concepts around the short grass prairie.

Teaching Plants from Root to Seed

Discover methods of integrating plant science into your classroom curriculum with a detailed look at what each plant part does. Also learn about plant classification and experience hands-on activities that you can easily transfer to your classroom.

 

$55 member, $65 nonmember.
