Seedlings Show and Share - ONLINE

Seedlings Show and Share is a remote opportunity for families to connect with each other and nature from the comfort of home! Join Denver Botanic Gardens' Family Program Team to sing songs, listen to stories, and share natural items you find around your home or neighborhood. This 20-30 minute live program is held virtually using Zoom.

 

Audience: Families with children 18 months to 6 years

 

Price: Free, registration is required.

 

Registration Instructions: Only one registration is needed per household. Registration closes at 4:00 p.m. the day before program.

 

The day before the Seedlings Show and Share session you will receive email on how to join the program electronically.

 

If the program is sold out, we encourage you to add your family's name to the waitlist. More program times will be added to accommodate waitlists.

 

Seedlings: Bug Bungalows

Explore the different sizes, shapes and colors of the bugs in the garden. Find the spots our garden friends will call home as the seasons change.

  • Ages 18-24 months: Wednesday, September 9, 9:15 a.m.
  • Ages 2-6 years: Wednesday, September 9, 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
  • Ages 2-6 years: Thursday, September 10, 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

 

Seedlings classes offer a fun, hands-on way for young children, ages 18 months to six years, to explore the plant world while developing an understanding and appreciation for nature. Classes include interactive explorations, nature walks and stories for children and their caregivers.

 

Program Fee: $10 per toddler/preschooler, $8 per toddler/preschooler member; one adult per child is admitted free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings (children over the age of 6 years) are $5 each. Non-participating infants (children under the age of 18 months) are free.

Seedlings: Fall Frolic

Explore the gardens to see what seasonal changes are happening as we welcome the official start of fall! Discover the season’s unique natural materials and create a fall collection of your own.

  • Ages 18-24 months: Wednesday, September 23, 9:15 a.m.
  • Ages 2-6 years: Wednesday, September 23, 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

Seedlings: Garden Explorers

Seedlings: Garden Explorers offer young children and their caregivers the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature while developing an understanding and appreciate for plants and their importance. Each program includes songs, stories and a nature exploration in Mordecai Children's Garden. This 30-40 minute program is held onsite at Denver Botanic Gardens’ York Street location. Each week features a different story and exploration.

Explore the mystical world of gnomes and search for secret gnome homes. Create a gnome home and discover what you can do to invite gnomes into your garden.

Roll up your sleeves for some harvest fun! Explore the many ways autumn plants inspire art and fun. Discover colors and shapes in the garden and use plants to make a harvest-inspired masterpiece.

Strolling Stories Along Deer Creek

Storytime and nature hikes unite in this program at Chatfield Farms. Each week we venture out around the grounds of Chatfield Farms and investigate nature as it changes with the seasons. Along the trail we stop to read a seasonally themed story and then continue our adventure with an exploration based on the day's book.

 

Audience: Recommended for ages 3-6 years.

 

Special Instructions: This program takes place at Denver Botanic Gardens' Chatfield Farms located at 8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, CO 80128.
