Farm Camp at Chatfield: Junior Farm Apprentice

June 15-19, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

If you’re interested in farming, this is the ideal camp for you! Learn about farming the land, growing in your own fields or backyard and caring for farm animals. Farm Camp at Chatfield: Life on the Farm

Care for farm animals and learn what it takes to make vegetables grow on a modern farm. Prepare snacks each day and learn how every ingredient is connected to the farm. You will immerse yourself in nature along the banks of Deer Creek while observing frogs, insects and birds of prey. This camp takes place at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

Price: $249 member, $269 non-member.

 

Farm Camp at Chatfield: Time Travelers

July 6-10, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

July 20-24, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Travel through time as you explore the lives of the early settlers, learn about the plants that were on the earth when the dinosaurs lived and predict what farming will look like in the future. Learn how to grow and prepare your own food, help care for farm animals, play games from the early 1900s, churn butter and bake in the wood burning stove. This camp takes place at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

Price: $249 member, $269 nonmember.

Registration begins January 8th for members, January 15th for nonmembers.

Late Pick-Up for Camp

  

Need a few extra hours added to the camp day? Let your child spend a few more hours at the Gardens from 4:00-5:30 p.m. We'll have a variety of games and activities your child can participate in with other children. Late Pick-Up is available for all Summer Camp Sessions at York Street. Late Pick-Up is not available for Farm Camp at Chatfield or Garden Explorers during Spring Break.

 

Please note that Late Pick-Up has a minimum enrollment of five children. Late Pick-Up may be cancelled if this minimum is not met.

 

Price: $50 per child

 

Mini Camp at Chatfield: Winter Wonders on the Farm

Discover what happens on a farm in the winter. Care for animals, prepare soil for spring planting, create a colorful ice sculpture, make a delicious treat and create a worm bin to take home.
