Urban Agriculture Tours: Downtown Denver

Join DBG, Slow Food Denver, and Grow Local Colorado as we showcase urban agriculture projects all over the city.

 

Each tour day will bring you to three different urban farms and end with a delicious, seasonal lunch at the last stop. Meet fellow urban agriculture supporters, see farms at their height of production, and enjoy great food!

 

Tour #3: Downtown Denver

Date: Saturday, September 20

Time: 8:30am to 12:30pm

 

On this Downtown tour, we'll first go to Blue Bear Farms at the Colorado Convention Center, where we will get a tour from Produce Denver. Then we'll visit Sustainability Park, where we'll get a tour from the youth farmers at Green Leaf Denver. After that we will go visit a small farm in the RiNo district and then have lunch at the Horse Barn, the headquarters of Denver Urban Gardens.

$28 Denver Botanic Gardens and Slow Food Denver members, $32 non-member.

Price includes catered lunch. Tour participants drive themselves, but can choose to carpool with others in the group when we meet together in the morning.
