Kid's Garden Camps

Grow your mind, plant a new friend and dig into the Gardens with our week-long day camps. Each camp contains a variety of activities that allow you discover the world of plants through art, science, cooking, gardening and outdoor exploration. Choose from a variety of different camps including one day Mini Camps held during school holidays and Week-Long Camps held at both the York Street and Chatfield locations.

 

Camp Cancellation Policy: Cancellations more than three weeks prior to the start of camp are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than three weeks notice are non-refundable; please consider your payment a donation to the Gardens.

 

Mini Camp at Chatfield: Cornucopia of Colors

Spend your day off of school surrounding yourself with the rich colors of fall at Hildebrand Ranch. We will have fun on the farm as we care for the farm animals, plant herbs, make our own seed paper, and create a colorful meal on the wood burning stove.

Mini Camp at Chatfield: Wild for Winter

Discover how the animals at Chatfield survive the winter, walk nature trails and care for horses, goats, chickens and ducks. Search for animal tracks, make a sandcast and delicious cookies.

Mini Camp at Chatfield: Winter Wonders on the Farm

Discover what happens on a farm in the winter. Care for animals, prepare soil for spring planting, create a colorful ice sculpture, make a delicious treat and create a worm bin to take home.

Mini Camp: Curious and Carnivorous Plants

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the greenhouse where curious, carnivorous plants live, discover their secrets, dissect one and plant another to keep for your very own!

Spend your day off school at the Gardens at York Street exploring the amazing world of plants. We will fill the day with garden explorations, games, activities, art projects and take-home gardens.

Mini Camp: From Flowers to Honey

Flowers and bees have a sweet relationship at Denver Botanic Gardens! Learn how flowers attract bees and how bees make honey, dissect and discover the parts of a flower, participate in a honey tasting and build your own garden  bee house  to take home.

Spend your day off school at the Gardens at York Street exploring the amazing world of plants. We will fill the day with garden explorations, games, activities, art projects and take-home gardens.

Mini Camp: Tropical Discovery

Escape the cold as we explore the plants and animals that live in a tropical rainforest.  Go on a special mission to see if you could survive there, make a tropical treat and create a mini-jungle in a jar.

Spring Break Camp at Chatfield: Signs of Spring

Grow your mind, plant a new friend and explore life on the farm with our week-long day camp. Each camp contains a variety of activities that allow you to discover the world of plants and animals through art, science, cooking, gardening and caring for farm animals.

Discover how you can read the signs of spring in nature. Find out what farmers must do to prepare the ground for the next growing season as you care for farm animals and work in the gardens and fields. Homemade snacks and take-home projects will enrich the days.

This camp is designed for ages 6-12.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email that contains a set of forms. For the safety and security of our campers, we ask that you return these forms to us no later than Monday March 9, 2015.

 

Spring Break Camp: Garden Explorers

Get ready for a fun week of exploration, crafts and culinary arts as you spend your spring break taking advantage of all the Gardens has to offer. We’ll explore gardens around the globe, create our own container garden and use fresh ingredients to hone our culinary skills.

This camp is designed for ages 6-12.
