Food Day

2013 National Food Day Celebration at Denver Botanic Gardens brought to you by Chipotle Mexican Grill

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Denver Botanic Gardens will host its third annual Food Day Celebration, an all-day festival promoting delicious, healthy, and affordable food produced in a sustainable and humane way. Admission to the festival and Denver Botanic Gardens is free on October 24, thanks to the involvement and support of Chipotle Mexican Grill!

The day-long festival will include many interactive activities including a hands-on workshop on cooking healthy meals on a budget; Denver metro area leaders in school gardening and nutrition education; an educational food expo, and more. Chipotle will also be presenting a gardening workshop that will teach festival-goers how to grow more vegetables with season extension techniques.

Food Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement toward more healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. Food Day is powered by a diverse coalition of food movement leaders, organizations, and people from all walks of life. Food Day takes place annually on Oct. 24 to address issues as varied as health and nutrition, hunger, agriculture policy, animal welfare, and farm worker justice. The ultimate goal of Food Day is to strengthen and unify the food movement in order to improve our nation’s food policies.

Please arrive early for this FREE DAY at Denver Botanic Gardens as space is limited!
